Health Care Professionals
We recognise the valuable work NHS staff do regarding Cancer Patients and there families. However we also should acknowledge that HCP's do not have enough time to deal with carers issues as well as those of the patient! Please remember talking to carers requires a different approach to those with cancer, they may be elderly etc or may be in denial of the current situation. The carer is the prime resource for the patient at home and should be helped in that role as much as possible and be part of the overall care plan for the patient. |
