Telephone support
When you call us what can you expect? A volunteer who has experience or is aware of your carer's role.Trained in aspects of supporting someone affected by cancer, the volunteer will listen to you in complete confidence** and will not judge you whatever you have to say. Calls are NOT recorded and you do not need to give us your full name if you wish.

Signposting to other Local or National services
We cannot offer any medical advice or discuss the person you are looking after, we can offer counseling if you are bereaved on a short term basis free by selected trained counselors. For financial matters tell us the problem and we will attempt to find services that may be able to help you with your request.

Dying matters
Nobody likes the notion of caring with someone with terminal or advanced cancer. We will listen sympathetically to your concerns and worries and if needed, and you wish, we can put you in touch with service providers that may be able to offer special support for you and your loved one.Your own GP is crucial in obtaining advanced support for your loved one, don't be afraid to ask if you feel you cannot cope alone.

Bereavement support
Losing a loved one or a family member or a close friend can be devastating. There are formalities to undertake and people to be informed, when your caring role stops just how do you cope. There are some services within the community that may be able to help you when the time is right for you. Dealing with any loss is difficult so please ask for help as soon as you are able to.
